Floors and Surface Coatings
ARETINO is a decorative system based on natural mineral pigments and fillers, giving transparency and chromatic effects typical of italian historical towns. Aretino is an exterios and interior finishing. Aretino is supplied uncoloured: adding the pigmenting dose a wide range of light and heavy transparencies can be reached, according to the dilution by water, that can range from 10% to 50%. Higher dilutions are suggested only in case of a two coats application. In this case the result will be softer and the eventual faulty application minimized.
COLORS
In 156 colors contained in the color chart RESTAURI. If the other colors do not carry a risk of fading option can be made from the color chart Tintho.
ARETINO PREPARATION
“ARETINO dose colorant” (pigmenting addive) to be mixed, invariable quantity, with “ARETINO neutro” in order toobtainlighterordarkercolourtones. SAIF Tinthosystem includes all ARETINOformulas. The mixtures hould be diluted up to 50% with water. Higher dilution up to 100% allows softer transparencies and deeper effects.
SURFACE PREPERATION
New walls: where high vapour permeability is required, apply one coat SAIFSEAL DUR 300%, otherwise apply one coat of SAIF SEAL ACRYL300%.
Old walls: remove all loose or flaking paint. Apply one coat of SAIF SEAL DUR 300%.
APPLICATION
ARETINO is an ideal finish coat for all “IRESTAURI” products:
· BORGOANTICO,limepaint
· GENOVESE,trowelledlimecoating.
· PIACENTINO,spongedortrowelledlimecoating.
· MICRO,quartzpaint.
· UNOCOAT,smoothfinishcoatforinterior/exterior.
· MEDITERRANEOwallcoatingwithnaturalfibres.
The wall should be prepared applying one of the above listed coatings.
Apply one coat of ARETINO by large brush, taking care to distribute the product uniformly, and let it setfor few minutes.
Then distribute by shorth aired brush, by synthetic leather pad, or by sponge trowel, ARETINO surface still wet until looks uniform, with variable pressure to obtain shade deffects. It will never get completely uniform, but this action will give the desired final design.
